Lucy Bullivant - Softspace - Interactive Architecture: An Emerging Hybrid Discipline

Lucy Bullivant is an exhibition curator, author and critic based in London. She has written three publications on interactive architecture: 4dsocial, AD/Wiley, 2007, Responsive Environments: art, architecture and design, V&A Contemporary, 2006, and 4dspace, AD/Wiley, 2005, and staged a number of international conferences on this subject, at Tate Modern, ICA London and at the Architectural Association, London. She writes extensively about young architects in the specialist media (including Domus, a+u and The Plan), and her book, British Built: UK architecture’s rising generation, was published by Princeton Architectural Press, in 2005. Lucy has also curated a number of international touring exhibitions including Space Invaders: young British architects, for the British Council, which was shown at the TN Probe Gallery, Tokyo and five other venues around the world, and Kid size: the material world of childhood, on children and design across cultures, for Vitra Design Museum, toured globally from 1997-2005.
